It seems like the hottest it has ever been here as we arrive at Khmer New Year! Luckily, this month also comes with lots of water-fights to cool us off.
Now we are helping at the centre in Otres, as well as our main school downtown, we had 2 groups of students ready for parties. Of course this is extra work for the staff, but also lots of extra fun. Both centres played lots of traditional games, songs and dances, everyone got given food and treats, and prizes for top students. No one goes home empty handed! Like all years, both parties descended into the organised chaos of water and flour fights at the end. It is lovely to see everyone join together to have such fun and really let their hair down, students and staff alike.
It had been a stressful few months for both staff and students, with money/funding issues, a fire in the community and very sadly, the loss of one of our students. To be able to bring everyone together and lift our collective spirits was priceless.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful pictures of happy children ! So nice of you to still keep in contact with us. It means so much. We do hope to come back to Cambodia one day and of course visit your lovely school and all the fantastic pupils and staff.
