After 15 years working for HTCC our manager Sokheang is leaving. He began his time here as a part time evening English teacher back in 2008, after finishing university. Over the years he has grown and become not only a wonderful teacher, but also an exceptional manager. He has carried himself with great professionalism and achieved so much for the centre.
Sokheang managed to tread the fine line of being stern yet fun. The children loved to mess and tease him, but always new the lines of respect, which went both ways, between them. The members of our community all know him as the face of the centre, and can approach him for a chat or help and advice. He has given lots of support to us while we have been preparing for his leaving, and is just a phone call away should we need his help. Below are a few memories – he takes a great selfie!
Both students and teachers alike adore him and he will be greatly missed. We are however delighted for him to be moving onwards and upwards, and after 15 years of service, he deserves a new challenge. We wish him all the best and thank him from the bottom of our hearts.
